Breakfast Sausage Recipe Review
This morning I decided to try my hand at making the breakfast sausage recipe I posted previously. I substituted ground turkey, and in my opinion it didn't turn out too bad. My husband, however wasn't a fan of this recipe. He prefers spicier sausage. If you're like him, I would recommend eliminating or reducing the amount of brown sugar and adding 1 - 2 tsps each of garlic and onion powder as well as 1 tsp of cayenne pepper (or however much you like). If you're looking for a traditional breakfast sausage the original recipe will fit the bill. I would imagine you could replace the brown sugar with maple syrup if you wanted a maple sausage. I have made these substitutions on my original post as well.
